Hey and Just Life

Hi, I know I haven't written anything for a long long time but life kinda just knocked me down and I wasn't sure how to get back up really...
I guess this means my experiment failed huh? Oh well I want to try again and I thought I might start a new blog but what the point? I may as well just use this one, on this one I know people are actually reading my stuff, crazy right?
But it's true, I was looking at my stats about two minutes ago and this is who reads me:

United States
43
Russia
33
South Africa
19
Canada
13
Germany
9
France
5
Argentina
4
Romania
4
United Kingdom
2
Lithuania
1

So as strange as it seems to me but people really do want to read whatever crosses my head. And so instead of starting new, I'll just try again :)
Thanks for reading, you are awesome!

Feeling bad and Pics

I feel really bad so here are a few cartoons for you guys. No one can be mad while looking at Madam and Eve :)

Posts and School

Can I just start by saying I'm really really sorry... I know I'm late and I'm sorry. Life caught up with me, okay? It has been an insane week last week.
First I was going to write something on Monday because it was my last day of holidays :(  but then it got crazy with finding stuff I needed. Where is my right shoe? Has anyone seen my blazer? Mom, where did you put my scissors? ect. (on a side note I still haven't found my scissors, I'm tearing things at the moment...)
Tuesday wasn't any better. I thought okay, you didn't write yesterday so write today about how school went but then we were given TONS of homework, and that plan failed.
Wednesday sucked, honestly, I don't even want to talk about it.
Thursday, I was told about a test and my brain went into overdrive and I was studying until 10 at night (which might not sound like much but it was stressful, okay?)
Friday was awful cause in the morning I was like yay, it's Friday!!! Dancing around my room to the radio but then I realized I had Saturday school...
Don't talk to me about Saturday.
Sunday I slept, the whole day I was in bed relaxing my head.
So that was my week and I'm sorry I didn't write but I was out of my mind for this week.

Okay back to the point, things I forgot about school while away:
*Walking though the hallway is impossible
*School bags are really heavy
*School work is boring
*AP math explanations are long winded
*I missed my class (like a lot)
*I love my history teacher (she is amazing)
*We watch a lot of videos in history :)
*I hate science (I don't even take it but I had to watch a video on it on Sat, waste of an hour)
*Lord of the Flies is a boring book
*Petit Nicolas (French story) is one naughty kid

Think that's it if you have anything you want to say about going back to school or your school in general you can...

Thanks for reading =D
Love you all

Friends and A Party

Two days ago (I know, I'm late, sorry) I went to my first party of the year... I'm not really a social butterfly, am I? Well anyway, it was my friend Megan's 16th birthday. Yay! It was really fun and amazing to see my friends again. And to be reminded of an old face, who I haven't seen in about 3 months.
We played a few games and a sports party thing on X-Box. Where I somehow won at volley ball and came 2nd in bowling. The other games were a sticker game and pairing game.

The sticker game was where we were each given 1 sticker and told a list of words we were not allowed to say. Then you go around trying to trick people into saying the words, if they do you get their sticker. I only got two stickers, both of which were taken from me when I say some very stupid things... oh well, c'est la vie...

The pairing game was, we all stood with our backs to Megi and her mom. They put little pieces of paper with writing on them. Each page had a pair, and therefore each person had a pair. So what you do is go around to people and ask them yes or no questions about what you have written on your back. I was 'peanut butter', my pair was my friend Danny, 'jam'.

So yeah, I had an awesome time and I'll see you guys soon, bye!

P.S I also found a new friend... A beautiful purple helium balloon, but unfortunately it has no name... So, if you have any ideas, please comment... =P

P.P.S I'm kinda depressed at the moment because I have to wait 128 days until I book I want is out...  :(

Love and Family

Sometimes they don't seem to go hand in hand do they? There have been quite a few times when I felt the need to strangle my brother or one of my cousins. So down here, it was Family Day today, and true to form I spent the day with my family at the beach. It was fun :)
Our dogs went completly insane, running back and forth, back and forth, tackling each other and trying to  play with every other dog on the beach... But my little Lab puppy swam in the sea (or a rock pool, really) for the first time so that was nice. My dad and brother built some kind of dam and castle in the sand before it was washed away. My mom tried sun tanning but got quite badly sunburnt instead and I swam and spoke to my mom (I'm the boring one in my family).
As we were going home, my brother was quite rude to me and that's when I couldn't really see the point in family...
My brother and I fight a lot and my godmother has this idea that the more we fight now, the more we will love each other when we are older. I'm not convinced. My brother is very hard to get along with, but you know I have to try...
Okay, moving on, I really sleepy, so goodnight! See you soon!

P.S I hope you had a happy April Fools Day, and tricked everyone you know, if not try using this:

Did just I. Fool another to this send. Fool a like message this read to trying time of lot a spent have you since.

Good Friday and My Gran

Today is Good Friday, the start of the Easter weekend, and down here, the long the weekend. See, here, we LOVE public holidays so today is a public holiday and Monday is too (it's Family Day.) So after a public holiday only one week ago, we have another two...
So today I was feeling really lazy and I'm now lying in bed with the fan on full blast, I believe it is 28°C and it's humid. Horrid weather... Okay, moving on, I wasn't going to write, but because I thought I wrote last public holiday, why not write this one? So there is no plan or anything I'm winging it.
But I at my gran's this week so I'll talk about her. My gran, this is the one on my mom's side, is Mary-Rose and she is one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. She is only 75, and I can always work out her age easily because she was 60 when I was born so I just add my age :) She lives in a big beautiful house, (and I've already stated my claim on it, I've told all my cousins, IT WILL BE MINE!!!) on a farm with my grandfather, Brian. My aunt, Jane, lives in a house near it. We also have 4 people renting homes from us and we run a nursery, with indigenous trees and other plants. Busy place, huh? I love being at my gran's house and just being with her. I will sometimes help Jane in the nursery or just go over to her house to talk to her about art or books or anything really. Or I talk to my gran about her days at Epworth, (she went to my school, or is it I went to her's?) or family or my synchro competitions. I feel so at home here, I have a room in the house and I already know it will be my bedroom/sitting room when I have the house, how I will arrange everything.... I just love being here. My brother... not so much. We arrived yesterday and he already wanted to leave but you know that's his loss...

So, bye! I'll see you on Monday, if not sooner....

This is a Madam and Eve cartoon, they are done by a South African and are very popular. This is one of my favourites, it's from 5 years ago when there was a huge problems with potholes on our roads. I love these cartoon strips so I may put more up :P

P.S My page views grow by two every post, does that mean someone is coming back to read my stuff???
If yes... I LOVE YOU, YOU ARE AMAZING, THANK YOU!!!!!

Gaming and A Story

Okay, first don't get used to me doing this every day but I'm bored and friend just told me I have to do something...
See, I told you I was a writer and I haven't shown you anything which I admit is kinda mean, and she's dared me to show you a bit of the story I'm working on...

But before that let me explain something to you. I'm very into gaming, mainly PC games. And one day I was explaining the story line of one of my favourite games to a friend and she said that would make a cool movie. So I can't make movies but I think I can write a story and that's what this is...

If you want to check it out the game is called 'Grim Tales: The Bride'
By Elephant Games
And all credit goes to them for the story line, I just changed it slightly
Oh, and the bit at the top in italics is really from the game
Check out the game here:

(That is Louisa)

GRIM TALES: THE BRIDE
(MY STORY)

****
My sister was only thirteen when I saw her last. She had begged to come with me. Our mother had died tragically. Our father disappeared under strange circumstances soon after. I had no choice- I left Louisa in the care of our nanny and left for school.
Years have passed since that day. And now, out of the blue, I got an invitation. On the very day we come of age, my twin sister, my delicate and naive Louisa is getting married...
But on the day of her wedding, witnesses say a dark figure pushed her into the river. They never found her body, but it’s assumed she is dead... I must return home, after eight long years and solve this mystery...
****

I stepped out of the car slowly and looked around. The city seemed exactly same; eight years hadn't changed a thing. People still walked up and down the main street, smiling and laughing. I thanked my driver and grabbed my bag, still watching the people around me. Where was Amanda? She said she would meet me here. Turning slowly I debated about what to do. I could go sit in a cafe and wait or something until she arrives or I could stay out here looking like an idiot. It was an easy choice really.
Inside the cafe was warm and quite full; tables and chairs had been placed close together, so it was almost impossible for the wait staff to get though. My small town had grown since I was here. I wonder if anyone would remember me.
“Excuse me, madam?” A smiling girl asked me, pulling me from my thoughts, “My name is Melody. I’ll be your server today. So, is there anything you’d like to drink?”
She looked vaguely familiar, but I couldn't place her. She most likely grew up here and I knew her face from the few social things we did when I was younger. I smiled at her, “Just a cup of tea, please.”
“Would you like milk or sugar or both?”
“Both, thanks.”
She nodded and took the menu before navigating the maze of the cafe again.
“Eleanor?” A voice asked, I turned slowly as arms wrapped themselves were around me, “Oh, Ella, it is you!”
“Hello Amanda,” I mumbled, blushing when I noticed people watching the scene before them.
She pulled back and smiled at me before bringing the other chair closer to mine, “How are you? You have to tell me everything, Sweetie. You haven’t changed one bit,” She paused thinking, “You still look exactly like Louisa.”
I rolled my eyes, “She looks like me, Amanda. I am the older one.”
“Yes, yes, of course, Sweetie, but only by a few minutes,” She answered smiling.
“You haven’t changed either,” I said.
And she hadn't. She had same beautiful dark eyes and long brown hair with only a few streaks of grey. She looked the same as when I last saw her. Although, then she had been crying, asking me not to leave.
“Lair,” She said shaking her head, “I’m getting older and you know it.”
Melody returned with my tea, smiling she turned to Amanda, “Hi Amanda, what can I get you?”
“Oh, don’t worry, Mel my dear, I’m fine.”
Melody nodded and turned to help another table.
“She’s a sweet girl, that Mel. Her mother was the same, shame about her dying so young,” Amanda looked thoughtful, “About the same time as your mother died too.”
Not wanting to talk about my mother, I quickly changed the subject, “Where’s Louisa? I thought she would be with you. Is she back at the house?”
Amanda looked at me oddly, “Sweetie, haven’t you heard?”
Confused I shook my head.
Her face softened, “Honey, she was pushed off the bridge yesterday. The police are still looking for her body but they think she is dead.”

END OF CHAPTER ONE

So now you've seen what I can write... please comment on what you thought about my story I really would love to know... Thanks

P.S I now have 16 page views !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comedy Shows and "Suid Afrika"

It's quite funny, okay, so there is this thing called Tuesday Comedy Night, on BBC Entertainment and we watch it after Psych (awesome show). So when it's school, we (I) can only watch half of QI before we (I) had to go to bed. Okay, so now that it's holidays (Yay!) and I can watch the whole thing! The funny thing is that I thought there was only one comedy show after QI but I was wrong....
There are 3... 3!!! So now it 11:15 here and I'm still watching Live At the Apollo...
Don't get me wrong, I love comedy shows and British humour is pretty good, but 4 shows in a row is getting a bit much. And although my brother killed himself laughing (even though he had no idea what was going on) and I have to admit the shows were funny, but maybe you should have things in smaller bites? But what do I know?

So moving on from my laughter night, one of the comedians has just said he had a PE teacher who was from, and I quote, "Suid Afrika," even said it with a very bad Afrikaans accent. So normally I'm overjoyed when TV shows, movies or anything really mentions us but not when we are the bad guys or the evil PE teachers...
Another example of evil comments was an NCIS episode where the big bad bomb builder is... South African. Or even an episode of Rosemary and Time where the killer was a woman from Bloem. And don't even get me started on the accents they say we have, you'd think we couldn't speak English correctly. Do you people, from other countries, really think so little of us?

Okay I have to go but I haven't finished my little rant so...

I'll be back...

Page Views and a Buzz

I'm on a bit of a buzz at the moment, one because it's a Monday and I'm not at school because it's HOLIDAYS!!! So that makes me happy :)
And the second thing is that I got 12 page views... 12!!! It may not sound like much but that means 12 people were crazy enough to read my rambling and so that makes me happier...
So if any of you are still reading, thank you and take a cookie... and if you not one of the 12 but you are reading you can have a cookie too  =P

(Had to use Google for the pic so I hope you like it...
P.S I found a funny one that I'll put at the end)

So because of the things mentioned above, I'm a 'happie-chappie' as my friend just called me. Yip, true story. I was raving about how I'm now a true blogger because people looked at my page, and she calls me a 'happie-chappie'... Nice friend, huh?
Sorry about the detour, but the point of this was to say thanks to the 12 people who looked at me :)

(I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't understand the joke... Doctor Who...)

Friends and Water Slides

Two days ago was Thursday, 21 March, which is is kinda a big deal down here. It's Human Rights Day and that means public holiday, which means no school (Yay!)
So my friend, her family and I all thought that it be fun to go to uShaka. For those who don't know, uShaka is a big water park, marine world and shopping mall, all rolled into one. It's actually really nice even if it might not sound like it...
Well anyway, going on a public holiday was not the brightest idea, in hindsight. When we got there it was packed. Honestly, it was madness. First we couldn't find anywhere to park, so Beth, her mom and I got out with half the bags, leaving Beth's dad and Liam (her twin brother) to find a parking. Then we wandered around the shops for a bit and Beth and I stopped at the best shop there, the fudge shop. Yeah, I know amazing, right? They have all these different flavours and... Wait, that got me off topic...
Sorry, so after the shops we met the guys at the entrance where we paid and got the band things the put on your arm. Basically after that we went in, brought lockers, to keep our stuff in while we went on the rides, and I sent ten minutes fighting with my bag trying to get it in the idiotically small locker. Beth and I headed for the Duzi, and waited in a really long line but I love that ride so it was worth it. We met up with Liam again after that and went on a couple more rides with him, even the new one which was really awesome. At like half past two, Beth's mom wanted to try the new ride and one of the cool things about the design is you can watch people as they go down, so Beth and I took our positions and pretended to be sport commentators at  the first ever, "uShaka Water Slide Star."
Yup, it was my idea, I'm kinda a weirdo but it was a lot of fun even if the people around us gave us funny looks...
We went to the marine world later and that, as always, was amazing. I have some really cool pics that I'll put at the bottom. The jelly fish are always my favourite, looking at their eggs and the little baby ones... so cute. Beth loves the sea horses and their little babies.
Later we got dinner and I stayed the night at Beth's. We spent most of the night watching "Stardust" because we both love that movie   :)   and most of Friday (it was a long weekend) playing computer games and watching the Lion King, also an awesome movie.

So that's how I spent my public holiday and I must say it was wonderfully, amazingly, awesome...

Me and the Intro

Check it out, I guess this means I'm a blogger now, right? I even have a post...

Hey, I'm Ingrid, a slightly dysfunctional, broader-line crazy writer. Stuff about me is to the side somewhere (right, I think?) And if you want to know more just ask, but I'm a boring person honestly. The reason for this is I want to try to... organize myself as a writer. See, at the moment, I just write when I feel like, what ever I feel like, poems, short stories, longer stories, a song once...
But anyway, I can never stick to something and that annoys me. I want to try stick to something for a while and that's why I created this blog and I will attempt to stay at it for... lets see, 4 months? Maybe longer if anyone wants...
Okay that's an intro done (!!!)
Bye :)
